I must start updating here more often!! First off, many many thanks to all the radio dj's who are spinning the CD, I couldn't be more grateful. The CD made the top 30 charts at both CFRC (Queen's) and CFUV (Victoria) and is showing up on US radio playlists now.

In other news I'm so excited to be attending the Int'l Folk Alliance Conference in Montreal, Quebec from Feb. 13th-17th, it's promising to be an amazing time. I go to these events as much to hear all the incredible non-stop music as I do to promote my own. I haven't been to one in a very long while so I'm really looking forward to reconnecting with some very old and dear friends from when I used to go to the U.S. all the time....I'll have lots of CD copies available for radio etc. too.

Stay warm in this frigid air! The title song of the CD, 'Every Once In A While' is about the weather :)

Well fans, the CD Release concerts are done, how can I thank you all for coming?! Our huge Whitby show brought out 150 people to the beautiful Whitby Centennial Building Theatre (aka The Whitby Courthouse Theatre) and I have to say, it was the highlight of my performing career. The acoustics were amazing, you were all amazing, my son Nick Teehan blew everybody away with his opening set, and I sold a ton of CDs. Then we did the whole show all over again at The Piston in Toronto in November and had another great night, albeit completely different in a club atmosphere. Great fun was had at both shows...thanks again to all of you who came out!!

After a long hiatus from recording and touring I have a brand new CD! 'Every Once In A While', features 11 new songs and the brilliant production work of Ken Whiteley. Release concert on Sept. 22nd, 8 p.m. in the Whitby Centennial Bldg., (Courthouse Theatre),416 Centre St. S., Whitby.

Neil Young, in his ongoing attempt to bring attention to the insanity of war, has created a list of anti-war songs on his website of over 3000 songs by current artists. It's an incredible selection of tunes and I encourage you to check them out.
The Hippie Song is currently sitting at 86, the more it is clicked on, the higher up the list it goes. The numbers change every week so it's probably easier to search for Lenore on the page.
I find it encouraging that so many artists continue to speak for peace!

I'm really pleased to have been asked to take part in an Artscan Circle Benefit concert in Uxbridge, ON on Sat., March 1st. (see gig listings for details).
Bluegrass band Silverbirch hosts a charity event every year and this year's chosen charity is one dear to my heart as it helps brings music to children who would not otherwise experience it.

House concerts have been around in the U.S. for a long time but they are just beginning to take off in Canada. They have become my absolute favourite type of gig - most of my US tour dates last year were house concerts.

Hey Friends,
Here's hoping 2008 is a wonderful year for us all. Last year was an exciting year with much travel and some cool awards for the new CD. I have return gig offers for Virginia and Pennsylvania but am also working to build a mini Canadian tour this year.
Hopefully our paths will cross!
Cheers to all,

Hey Friends,
It has been a long time since I've added a note here...thanks for dropping by.
I've just returned from another stellar trip to Texas, the more I play there, the more I love it - such an incredible appreciation for songwriting there!
The trip to Virginia earlier went so well I have a 12 day house concert tour booked there for next June....once again, it has been a delight to introduce the concept of house concerts to a new group of folks - they were so taken with my show in Blacksburg that several audience members expressed a desire to host an event themselves and presto! See you there in June.
I'm about to head out to the northeastern U.S. for almost a month, am especially excited to be visiting the Boston area for the first time.
Please also check out www.myspace.com/lenorecanada and/or www.sonicbids.com/lenore .
If you're on Facebook, you can find me there if you search Lenore Elaine.
Cheers to all!

Happy New Year everybody! Here's to a healthy happy '07. And I am celebrating with the arrival of my new CD!
"Another Life" will be released very shortly - the music will be up on this site and cdbaby (and myspace and sonicbids) within the next couple of weeks. Sneak previews will appear any day now though!
The new CD marks a departure from the first two, I went with 'all acoustic' instruments (played by some of Toronto's finest musicians).
And had the incredible privilege of working with well known roots producer Paul Mills who, as many you know, is an amazing player as well.
Stay tuned.....

I have made the finals of yet another contest....this time the Singer/Songwriter Finals for the Paragon Entertainment folks. 10 of us will be playing a 30 minute set each in front of judges at the Smiling Buddha Cafe in Toronto on December 1st.

Just got back from the Northeast Folk Alliance conference in the Catskills....had a wonderful time, made many new friends on this trip and have offers of house concerts in PA and NY so I've begun the process of putting together my visa application for a 2007 tour. Am hoping to re-visit the area in both the spring and the fall.

i had a great trip to Austin, played several showcases throughout the week and then showcased at the SouthWest Regional Folk Alliance Conference....I've got several tentative bookings to add to my "Texas Tour" for next March and plan to return to Austin on a regular basis. What an incredible music town!!! I've never heard so much good music in such a short amount of time, it was simply amazing.

Hey friends,
Just found out I've been nominated in the 'Best Folk' Category for the upcoming Toronto Independent Music Awards to be announced at the Phoenix in Toronto on October 5th, 2006.

I have been invited back to Austin in September to play some showcases at the SouthWest Folk Alliance Conference - I'll be previewing the new CD and lining up a Texas tour for next winter. This is so cool because I just loved Austin when I was down there during SXSW.

Electronic Press Kit now available. Go to www.sonicbids.com/lenore to view or download. Includes soundclips from the pre-production demo recently recorded with veteran Toronto roots producer Paul Mills. I'll be recording a new CD at Paul's renowned Millstream Studios this summer.
My trip to Austin during SXSW was fabulous! Both of the showcases went very well and have resulted in invitations to return to Texas as well as several house concerts bookings in the U.S. for next year when the new CD is out.
One of my new tunes, "The Bully" made it to the top 40 of the prestigious Music to Life contest, run by Noel "Paul" Stookey and his daughter Liz. Judges were Peter, Paul and Mary, Judy Collins, Tom Paxton and Christine Lavin among others. Although I didn't make the final cut, the song will be featured on a special XM radio show that Christine will be airing several times over the next few weeks.
In other news, I have become an approved performing member of Indiegrrl - a co-op label that arose to help female indie artists share info and gigs etc.
